That's what Toy Story 3D looked like as well. FRANC -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Hershenson [mailto:brucehershen...@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 09, 2010 8:13 AM To: Franc Cc: MoPo-L@listserv.american.edu Subject: Re: [MOPO] I saw Alice in Wonderland last night
The regular 3D. It had the look of a 2D movie that had a few 3D scenes interjected in it, much the way The Jazz Singer was a silent movie with some sound sequences. It wasn't as good as some people had told me, but it wasn't nearly as bad as some other people had suggested (another way of saying it was that it was no Edward Scissorhands, but it was also no Planet of the Apes). I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp, and yet I thought he was the least interesting part of the movie (although I was not as disappointed by him in this as I was by his performance in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). The weird thing they did with his eyes was distracting, and since you express a lot of emotion with your eyes, it hurt that way too. I thought the lead actress was quite good. If they wanted to make "The Gwynneth Paltrow Story", she would make an excellent choice to play the lead.
