I've just put up MPIR 1.3 release candidate 1. We are still waiting on some final testing from Jeff Gilchrist, which will probably happen tomorrow. If everything is fine, the release candidate will become the final release.
The only differences between alpha3 and rc1 are documentation issues. The release candidate is available here: http://www.mpir.org/ I've also updated all the information on the website about what is new in MPIR 1.3.0. IMPORTANT NOTE: It is no longer necessary to use "make install-gmpcompat" after "make install". Known Issues: * Cygwin32: make check fails if build path contained spaces - trac #28 * MSYS32: make check fails if only a shared library is built (the library should be compiled correctly though) - trac #199 * X86 32 bit Apple gcc: no PIC support in assembly code - trac #94 * Make tune will core dump with small probability on some loaded machines - trac #34 * Fat binary x86_64 build will fail with old GNU and Sun assembler versions - trac #133 * Test failure (mpz/t-export) on a Pentium-D with gcc 4.1.2 - appears to be a problem with the C library function memcmp not MPIR - trac #168 * MPN_ZERO miscompiles on ia64 with gcc 4.1.2 - trac #223 * The mpirbench program may fail to build on some platforms. * Tuning code fails on mips64el - trac #207 * icc build will fail on itanium - trac # 201 Please report new issues not listed, at the google group mpir-devel: http://groups.google.com/group/mpir-devel?hl=en Bill. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mpir-devel" group.
