There might not be an individual pair for "Te", but apparently it's covered by 
one of the "kern class" tables or whatever it is called.  Because it most 
definitely *does* kern in both FreeSerif and FreeSans, but *only* if I uncehck 
the OpenType option.  This is true for both Ubuntu 14.04 with Qt 5.4 and 
Windows 7 with Qt 5.3. And yes, I am positive about "VA".  The difference may 
be small but easily noticeable.  One check I like to do is move the cursor 
between the letters.  Overlap can be easy to see in those cases.
