I thought it best to reply here so everyone gets to see. In answer to your questions.....
1. As you know from my reply in the forum the short term fix for the violins problem is to just add an instrument(s) to the Instruments.xml file. I would prefer to stay focussed on the soundfonts at the moment, as I'm rather busy with paid work, so if anyone else is happy to take that on that would be great :) 2. I tend to produce a new SF3 version shortly before the next version of MuseScore is coming out, the maintenance version always being the SF2 available from my Dropbox account. In the past I have submitted it by means of a pull request, but I realise that impacts the GitHub repository in an undesirable manner, so am quite happy to upload it somewhere else if you can give me FTP access. The piano is all but done. All that remains is for people to test my final tweaks - I have removed the low pass filter from the Global section of the instrument - and then incorporate it into the soundfont. Somewhere there is a spec of what category the extra GS banks are, I will try and source that so it goes into the appropriate bank number :) 3. The standard Mike Scorsch Drumline soundfont is now pretty stable, although the version with the extra cymbals I made for someone is not yet working. The problem is that I have no idea what licence if any Mike Scorsch has put on it, the notes in the supplied tutorial suggest that he has not put copyright on it at all, and there is no copyright information in his original alteration of Tim Brechbill's soundfont. Probably the best plan would be to email him, and see what he says - I will undertake that task later this week. Have you a projected release date for the incremental update for MuseScore 2?
