I tried to follow this discussion, but I think there's something
going wrong in the communication:

>>> >I opened my 8245 some time ago. It has a weird connector (1 line of 15
>>> >pins, or something). It uses normal 3.5" floppies, though.

Here "floppies" refers to the _disks_

>>> Normal 3.5'' Floppies ? Are you sure ?
>>> I have seen more than one 8245 and they have 730Kb floppy with a non-pc
>>> connector.

Here "floppy" and "floppies" refer to the _drives_

>>730 kB? what do they look like? Normal floppies fit in mine, anyway.

_disks_ again...

>> Are
>>you sure we're talking about the same computer? The connector is indeed
>>non-pc, that's right. (that's what I said in the first place)

Ah, we're talking about the _drives_

>720kb (730 was a keystroke error) disks look like 1,44 Mb , but with only
>one hole in the bottom part of the disk.

The _disk_ ...

> The connector is the same for 720k and 1,44 Mb floppies (for pc floppies).

A disk doesn't have a connector, so this must be refering to the
_drive_ again...

        Eric (confused) :-)
