nope , when you use a pc drive it still can only read 720Kb formatted floppies and 
360Kb , single
sidedformatted floppies

see the FAQ , most MSX's use a connector quite the same as a pc drive , but the 
NMS8245 and theVG8235, VG8230
do not.
