Could you be any more condescending?
Theo, might i recommend that (using Google Groups or eternal september
or the NNTP of your choice) you mosey on over to and check out comp.dsp
and see how dumb those guys are.
glmrboy (a.k.a Douglas Repetto) runs a pretty nice and clean and high
S/N ratio forum here. we're grateful for that. because of that we try
to be very nice to each other even when there is controversy (e.g. when
i had a little run-in with Andrew Simper over the necessity of recursive
solving of non-linear equations in real-time and with the salient
differences between trapezoidal integration vs. bilinear transform), we
try (and succeed) at not underestimating the knowledge, both in the
practical and in the theoretical, of the other folks on the list.
but check out comp.dsp and see if they're as polite as Sampo.
