If you use the new VLC integration in the daily builds, it will
automatically set the canvas aspect, quality, subtitling and VLC
options from your mvpmc settings, as well as supporting seeking, pause 
and the OSD properly.

All you need to do on the server end is start VLC with a "vlc -I Telnet"
and mvpmc will take care of the rest. If you have problems with the
timecode, upgrade to one of the VLC nightly builds on the 0.8.6 branch 
from http://nightlies.videolan.org where the bug has been fixed.
