  I will say that my own interest in a new MClient is not quite as pronounced 
now that I figured out how to drive my v7.5.4 Squeezebox Server from MVPMC 
using M3U playlists.  The current MClient is rock solid as a player and 
displays streamed song title with the screen saver.

  Sure, it would be nice to navigate the SBS front end, but considering that I 
always end up using Random Play->Song, the key for me was figuring out the 
magic HTTP link I could embed in an M3U file.

  This technique works great on other platforms, too.  I can do the same trick 
with my Palm TX and a crusty slow laptop and draft all this stuff I have laying 
around into music duty.  Cool!

  I need to rebuild my Mythbuntu 9.10 box using a newer distribution; I could 
never get the later nVidia drivers working correctly.
