I don't believe I have see any takers (people to re-code mclient to work 
with newer slimdevices Ethernet protocols).  That would be step one. 
Then you need to add the code to handle the new slimdevices client features.

One of the problems with this is that the mediamvp / mvpmc has lost a 
lot of steam with the advent of HDTV.  I think it still works as a 
mythtv client but all the media has to be transcoded to a lower 
resolution.  There are several methods, but I believe the easiest way 
has been (and probably will always be) to compromise all your 
recordings.  Some, like me, are not really willing to do that as most TV 
viewing is being done on higher resolution monitors.

On top of that there is hardly any room left for new code.  You would 
have to remove something in order to fit in new features.  True, most 
people don't have a ReplayTV box any more.  And I have heard zero spoken 
about features like the VNC client (which I don't think was completely 
finished).  So you might be able to setup the code to conditionally 
compile out some features in order to make room for a grander 
squeezecenter music client.
