How do I go about pin pointing the problem? If it's a bad cap, how do find out which?

Maybe a filter cap on the way out, a bad connection between the harness and the PS or the console, or a bad solder joint on the main rail connection to the motherboard. All the green leds on each channel strip are weakened while this noise occurs, and sometimes the main solo led flickers on although nothing's in solo. Another thing that happens is like a quick drop out that lasts just a split second - green leds flicker off and then immediately back on, sound is interupted.
