I don't think you actually want an agent on the printer, you just want the
net-snmp agent on the machine that has the printer connected to report its
status, right?
Yes, i just need to report the status of the printer and any device connected
to the computer.
does your agent have host resources support complied in?
yes it is actually i am using AdventNet SNMP Agent
do you have access control set up to let you access the host resources mib?
i download the AdventNet Manager and i have access to the Host Resources MIB
does lpstat report the status of the printer correctly? <--thats what i am
looking for
