I am very new in linux world.
I tried to update netscape 4.60 to
stable 4.61 but because of some
connection speed problems with my linux
i downloaded the files in winnt. when I
reboot from linux I saw that NT has
garbled the file names which were very
long (netscape-common.mdk1.etc).
I think this made me confuse which file
to run first. I have tried to run the
one that has common and then the
one that has navigator in its name. I
have done these in KDE. Linux had asked
me to enter root password, and i did.
Both updates brought errors that i
could not understand. Poor me, tried
again, supplied that `overwrite files`
checked.
Now my netscape does not open.
May you help please?
