I like what I see, not had time to really use it yet. I have alrerady downloaded from mozilla.org , javs, flash and macromedia ,though not real audio, I guess these will not do since they are for mozilla.org's own tar bar install. I noticed with Mozilla 0.9.8 when the app comes across a need that is not yet installed while on the web it throws up a warning message " XYZ is needed by Mozilla to , view, enable whatever, would you like to install now from here -----<enter> " And sometimes I did so. your basically saying copy the url and install later , I think. > > >> Also , a check with the rpm package manager reveals :- >> >> nautilus-mozilla 1.0.6-15mdk >> 10.85mb >> Mozilla-irc-0.9.8-10mdk >> 0.115mb >> mozilla-mail-0.9.8-10mdk >> 4.216mb >> mozilla-0.9.8-10mdk >> 30.0mb >> java2html.1.7-2mdk >> 0.15mb >> >> What should I do with these , how many dare I remove do you think.I >> don't want to loose functionality. >> > > As for the old Mozilla packages you can feel free to uninstall them > all with this command: > rpm -e --nodeps Mozilla-irc-0.9.8-10mdk > rpm -e --nodeps mozilla-mail-0.9.8-10mdk > rpm -e --nodeps mozilla-0.9.8-10mdk > the other packages you've listed above should probably be left alone > since removing them could have adverse affects on other programs. > their presence won't bother the new version of Mozilla you've got on > your system since the tarball you've installed was a selfcontained > version and didn't require any other packages to work correctly. Mozilla does not have a default "outbox", I guess it is supposed to end up being stored in Drafts. Clearly it is meant to work, something more needs to be got right. It is not obvious to me at the moment. Keep throwing ideas at me.. regards, John -- John Richard Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED]
