Hi, I am trying to reset expired passwords, so I boot up with a floppy and enter,
linux init=/bin/sh -rw and I get init-2.05# I tried passwd username and entered new password. But I get the following error message, PAM_pwdb[22]: user (username/id) update failed; pwdb: another process has locked resource passwd: Critical error - immediate abort Would someone please tell me how can I solve this?
