This is the same for 8.2 and 9.0 (i just checked). Open KMail Open a composer window (New or Reply) Settings > Configure Toolbars Highlight the 'spelling' option in the left 'Available actions' pane. Click the [->] arrow button to move it to the 'Current actions' pane. Click [OK]. -- Michael
