[newbie] dual booting

i have a problem.  i installed Mandrake 6.1 on my machine.  before i was able to choose between linux or dos to boot my machine.  i have windows on one hard drive and linux on the other.  i have not had any problems until i used the auto update on Mandrake. Now I can not boot dos (windows) It comes up LILO boot                I hit tab it has linux dos i choose dos and it just says loading dos......... and that how its been since i went to work today 10 hours ago.  I can still boot linux just not dos.
