My /etc/fstab file is quite similar to yours, Dennis. I modified this
line:
/mnt/zip /mnt/zip supermount fs=vfat,dev=/dev/zip 0 0

like this:
/mnt/zip /mnt/zip supermount fs=vfat,user,dev=/dev/zip 0 0

and now I can mount and unmount as user.
