With the on board vid the BIOS is most likely reporting the wrom 
RAM value.

Try this.
At the Installation splash screen press F1 and at the boot prompt enter:
 linux mem=(total ram - video ram)M

If you have 128MB and your videao card uses 4MB then you would enter:
 linux mem=124M
