My fstab line is exactly the same, and the floppy works. However do you need to mount the floppy? mount /mnt/flopy I also unmount it after use. umount /mnt/flopy (note no n in umount) > This line is under it but I'm not sure what it goes to: > > none /proc proc defaults 0 0 It is somthing to do with a virtual file system - do not touch it i have been told.
