Enjoy the lower noise levels of a hard drive that won't read nearly as often.
When I went to 512 MB (I was also installing MDK 8.1 at the same time) the swap file was 400 MB but it was hardly used at all unless I was running a few more than the usual XMMS, K-Mail, Mozilla, and whatever desktop toys happened to be running. When I "upgraded to 8.2" I didn't touch the swap. It's still at 400 MB, but there's a full 1 GB (4x256 MB PC 133) of SDRAM for it to play with. No worries at all.
