I have a 2.5 inch External USB HDD. it has 1 cable from the enclosure to the PC at the PC end, it splits into 2 USB plugs plug into 2 seperate USB ports on the PC 1 for data & power, 1 for extra power if needed. Sometimes you can get away with plugging in only data/power cable sometimes you need both Unfortunately, I've never tried to use it in Linux. (I just got it today from a friend). At his place, only needs to plug into 1 USB port Here, at home, I need both. It depends on the PC HTH Al ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
