I would think with all the torque that bike has it should be able to chug down 
to 2K.

My Goldwing (GL1200)  seems to be lugging under 2860 (approx) rpms in  
5th (OD). It seems to smooth out over 60 mph.  Any one with a Wing  
agree with that?  I think a 17 tooth sprocket on my 750 would help as  
well,  Graham
