Your Exactly right I told the head mechanic what happened and he said it was 
too much volts for the bike, so I'm sure I fired some wire's, o well I have all 
winter too fix it. I do live in Erie pa and winter will be here Saturday 
anyway.

Large trucks usually have 24 volt systems. Or at least they do in the marines. 
Could you have charged it with the wrong voltage?
