I agree that it could be a lack of letting the bike warm up fully, or the stock lean settings. But on my 50 I got average 47-48 MPG stock, and 45-46 after installing a uni air filter, hodge mod on the exhaust, richening the pilots, washering the needles, and installing larger main jets.
