Not defending or agreeing with anyone here. But I thought the point Craig
was trying make is that we should all be prepared for a little (maybe a lot)
of inconvenience as the trade off for better security in the skies. It seems
like a no-brainer but just wait for a couple of months and you'll see people
whining and complaining about the inconvenience of have to carry their
suitcases thru crowded airports, or having to wait an extra half hour to
board an airplane.

yer kidding right? What a completely moronic thing to say. You cannot
equate loss of life in the thousands to breaking into software. Secondly
there is no way this disaster could have been avoided. We live in a open
society. The root of that is founded in our freedom. Unfortunately such
freedom has risks. No one cracked some secret password that turned the auto
pilot into a guided missile. Some guys walked onto planes and hijacked them
with boxcutters and knives. If you think your job equates to the loss of
thousands of lives I think you need a reality check.
