Its amazing how much useful stuff is out there on 'tinterwebs :-) As I left I discovered an external wired broadband connection that clearly someone has set up to avoid this killer web filter. Tomorrow should be more productive (yet less secure, possibly?)

I had to learn Select-String last week, but didn't know how to retrieve captured groups yet, nor how to write to the registry. So we both learned some things!
