Hell Memory these days is cheap. I got 4GB in my XP machine, and will be running Vmworkstation and a few hacking tools from home on 2k8 and Nix Os's in VM's, and still runs like a champ.

I remember upgrading workstations to 32MB of memory and then 64MB and we thought that was a lot. Servers back then only had 1-2GB of memory. I remember the old Novell servers running with 512MB of memory.
