I agree with brian, Exchange itself was just a unfortunate bystander of
the memory leak issue, but since mailboxes are on the BACKEND Disk's via
Storage groups, its Exchange exercising the disks, to read and write and
it's the MPIO.sys being leaky that is causing stuff to go to hell in a
handbasket.

Again, depending on usage it might take days or weeks, for the memory to
leak back out, so we are evaluating with the new version of the MPIO.sys
file and working from there.

Brian is also correct, Poolmon will show if you have the issue and which
driver is doing it, again I am no Poolmon expert, but from what I was
showed, it all made sense.

NON Paged memory pool leak

It has nothing to do with Exchange really.

Poolmon will show you whether you have an issue. I can dig up the
directions if you want.

Ed, have you seen any evidence of this on non Exchange systems, or non
clustered systems? We don't user Exchange and very few clustered
systems, but almost everything is EMC attached using PowerPath, so this
worries me.

Thanks,

Chris
