Thought as much :)

Would the PolySubdivide node in the Geometry Tools plugin set on Nukepedia help you? (..if you're allowed to install plug-ins in your facility).

Thanks Sean, but my problem is that the geo is in the wrong place. I really
need to subdivide the mesh, not just smooth the normals.

Hey Tim,

You can try using a Normals node after the ReadGeo node with the 'action' knob
set to 'build', and adjust the 'angle threshold' knob to fit your needs.

Cheers,

Hi all --

Is there a way to subdivide geo coming from an Alembic cache?

Say I have a low-res polygon mesh that's getting subdivided by my lighter friend who's rendering in Vray. I'm trying to apply a texture to his render using the same mesh in Nuke. It's working great, except for some mismatch along glancing-angle edges. Anyone have a solution that stays in Nuke? (Re-running the Alembic files with subdivided geo is an option, but not a good one for this situation.)

Thanks,
