Gangs have been getting protection money in the movies (and in real life) for years now - maybe this is the new protection racket.
"Hmm, look at all this sensitive data... Be a shame to see it 'wiped' huh? Lotsa virisus around these days, aint that right loui?"
"Yeah boss."
"I'd hate to see you lose it all, if you get my drift.... Now, see, the other Fortune 500 companies on this block? They gotta understanding with us, they don't hafta worry about their data, do they Loui?"
"No boss."
"They got good business sense. And now, what you have to ask yourself very carefully - is how much this data means to you, huh?"
