Max I dont doubt it is a smart move, nor do I doubt that it will be good for Microsoft What I always doubt is Microsoft's intentions. But what I would like to see is more people acknowledge what it is..not the 'freedom to innovate' but a carefully calculated move to cement a monopoly. In ten years time when someone points out that Microsoft still has an unhealthy OS Monopoly they will be able to say, Java was available as a virtual machine, we launched .NET and users moved to it..what did we do wrong?
