Yes. Those machines are very scary. Using one of those a 12 year old can usually crack into high security military sites, school records etc within 10 seconds. It amazing how those guys can type so fast with all the screens flashing up.
p.s Why is it that American schools always seem to have web sites where students can access and edit grades and attendance records etc? Has a whole bunch of screens (not merely two, how unprofessional) and can talk to SEVEN networks at once. And then when you write your computer programs, instead of doing a bunch of typing, you can play Tetris. That's what the real big boys use. I've seen it on TV even. That's what I'm talking about. ObHomer: mmmm, hardware wishlists.... Raid cards can be had for under a hundy now, and drives are cheap enough and xp/2k have some kind of raid support built in, so get 2 drives and never be afraid of losing one again. As for your monitor get a second : make changes on one, view results on the other mmm... Agree with Moisez tho', first thing is to get as much ram as possible. 512 is cheap enough to get 2. And for the best bang-for-buckness AMD's stomp all over Intel. For dependability the reverse is prolly true, so for desktop : I'd go for the mid-range Intel over top-of-line AMD unless you need absolute performance.
