Hi Guys
BTW what are people using as backup media these days? My regular back up is a a bit over a Gig and I have been stacking them up on a couple of removable 6 Gig hard drives. I loke the idea of being able to directly access backups, without having to restore them. Is there now a better option?

I get to use the same backup media as has been used for thousands of years : a combination of prayer, pixie dust, knocking on wood and hoping that you'll notice somethings amiss before everything is gone.

Its only failed catastrophically a couple of times, and has saved
damn near a hundred bucks or even slightly more over the same period,
and only at a cost of losing a year or so's worth of emails and files.

Feh, cynical this morning, and OTOH 20G *is* a largish amount to backup,
Its an even _larger_ amount to recreate, so I'd do extreme things
for a stack, or even just a small puddle, of backups on removable
drives.

(OT : Please regard this almost pointless post as saving you from having
to read a maniacally tourette syndromish rant on the incomprehensible
stupidity of current business practice (and how the last n years of
crappy customer service we've been getting everywhere is now turning
inwards)
Note to self: don't watch any more episodes of 'the office')

Cheers, Kurt.
