There are a number of reasons why this rumor is BS.

First, why would WotC contact some guy doing Arudin
(which I really want to see in d20 BTW) and not
contact Steve at WW or me, since we have the most
high-profile product? Answer: they wouldnt.

Second, I dont know where he came up with those
remedies: pull the products or pay royalties. Those
remedies arent open to WotC and I doubt WotC officials
would believe they are. They could revoke a license
and require no further printing (possibly) but they
cant make us recall products. Nor could they
retroactively impose a royalty on a roylaty-free
license. No WotC lawyer could believe that, thus it is
imporbable that WotC issued that statement.

I'm not even going to speculate why anyone would start
such a rumor.

Eric, did you just stumble across this info or do you
