To do so they would have to have everything ready but the stat blocks --
including a least a minimum amount of play testing to make the product less
likely to be a liability when addressing new material.

Clever graphic design could go a long way preparing for this -- covers could be
pre-printed and stored for the over night rush and binding for the guts. The
guts could be assembled in Quark or Pagemaker (with attendant illustrations
already in place -- hey it's what I do!) with the likely idea of what space
would be required for stats derived from material already available at WotC and
Eric Noah's (excellent) site -- or from the new writer's guidelines for Dragon
if they're available prior to the show. A dummy list of all the slots to be
filled would have to be ready to insure there aren't any last minute rush
errors.

It's very do-able.

Are a couple thousand sales likely? I've never been to that show.

I suspect your figures are largely from the possibility of retailers picking up
bulk orders to bring home?

Sounds like the kind of project that would do a lot of good for a smaller
company or a company intending to be a major player in the D20 materials market.
