Dear OS/Net crowd,

I'm on this alias for over 2 months now.

I signed up after having found good starting points at
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/on/
and
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/ .

Over time I noticed, that - very much unlike lists like
caiman-discuss or xwin-discuss - no actual development
communication is taking place here.
Then you shouldn't wonder, that only few are seriously joining you
(or: able to join you). You guys not only get all training for free,
but you also discuss everything, day in and day out. Unfortunately
behind your Firewalls.

I like what Steven Lau has written in his blog a while ago:
http://whacked.net/2009/01/15/dear-sun-learn-to-trust-your-own-community/

Actually what is (not) going on here on this list (in contrast to
caiman, xwin and a small good selection of others) is fraud (towards
yourself and towards world).
Sure: The hg, commit logs, webrefs, cr's, ARC's are online.
But without moderation and with most of the developer's communication
being held behind closed doors it is not easy to participate.
I do this with a small bit: I improve fast-boot by adding an option to
it. More later. First let me discuss and develop it BEHIND MY CLOSED
DOORS.

2 days ago a very smart guy of you wrote me a polotical non-technical
message where he complained about mailing lists being too political
and not technical enough.
Isn't that funny? What did he do to improve the situation?
