If the original file checked in is HTML, I'm not sure the CMS Web interface will allow you to rename it to a .mdtext file. I'd just add a new index.mdtext or whatever. If the file is mdtext then the CMS web interface will give you an mdtext-specific UI with a preview. > Is it correct to assume that if I want to use mdtext I can forget CMS and > do it in SVN directly ??? > The CMS is a shortcut to making simple changes to HTML or Mdtext or any other text-based files on the website. Behind the scenes it uses SVN to check in the files. You can always do everything in SVN if you want. > Sorry for asking, but this does not seem to be obvious for non-documentary > programmers :-) > Jan I. > > > On 1 November 2012 18:57, jan iversen <[email protected]> wrote: > >> See below please. >> >> >> On 1 November 2012 18:45, Ariel Constenla-Haile <[email protected]>wrote: >> >>> On Thu, Nov 01, 2012 at 06:25:12PM +0100, jan iversen wrote: >>> > Did you have an opinion on my request for a change of the site >>> template, to >>> > include context-specific menus ? >>> >>> Dynamic menus are not possible.
