Hi, thanks for th suggestions.
I'm running in RH9 as user and group "nobody" I've changed the rights to the /var/spool/exim/input directory from 755 to 775 I turned on the debugs, and ran check_mailscanner It seems to "hang" at debug: running full-text regexp tests; score so far=1.27 debug: all '*To' addrs: debug: RBL: success for 1 of 1 queries debug: running meta tests; score so far=1.27 debug: is spam? score=1.27 required=5 tests=DATE_MISSING,NO_REAL_NAME Cntrl-C does stop the process. In the system log I get Sep 20 15:35:07 nv root: MailScanner setting GID to nobody (99) Sep 20 15:35:07 nv root: MailScanner setting UID to nobody (99) And I don't see any error messages in the mail log. Thanks for the assistance.
