Repeat after me....

    ast may or may not be appropriate.  If it isn't, we blew it, but the 
ARCs don't allow "double
    jeprody"[1].  The existence of ast in Solaris is unrelated to star 
(and associated).

[1]   I don't know if Germany has the concept of "double jeprody".  It 
is that once you have been
       acquitted by a court of an infraction, you can't be tried again.  
(The ARC modifies this in that one
       can alter a decision based on significant new information and 
agreement of the CTO (or
       equivalent).  Its happened only a few times.
