Its not only wishful it is absolutely needed.

I for one am looking at a whole new build system for Blastwave

How easy is it for the other distros to modify this buildsystem
for their own need, without breaking someone else builds?

That is the major issue here, the possibility to modify the build
system safely.


What I need to do is create a subversion source repository elsewhere
to draw from and to allow changes to.  I was thinking somewhere like
genunix also.
