This can also be done within the 'appliances' community.... if it comes to the point where you do actually have source to open up, then you can request a project be opened then.

In my view, an OpenSolaris Project is a place centred around *community open development of the project's source code*.

I think the Appliances community is a perfectly suited place for your current discussion of Honeycomb...
