I never said it's impossible. I said "it's not happening". I can not imagine that someone would take on this project. Basically with all the trimming you would need to do to fit, and the amount of RAM modern browsers take to run, combined with the performance characteristics of the device, it would be a lot of work for little benefit. 256MB is passable for a server, but not so hot for a day to day desktop. (GUI apps: Browsing/flash video/javascript heavy apps/mp3s, OpenOffice, etc).
