I wouldn't recommend that you try to bind the nv_sata driver to the nforce 430 chipset sata controller; the installed system will most likely become unbootable until you manually sort out the change in the physical device name of the root disk. And I'm unsure what steps are required with OpenSolaris' zfs root; when I made that change I had an UFS root and ZFS /usr. I think it just isn't worth the trouble, unless you really need s-ata features like s-ata hotplug. Note also that Solaris' current nv_sata driver doesn't support s-ata atapi devices at this time, so you might loose access to your s-ata optical device if you try to force use of the nv_sata device driver.
