I did follow the format/fdisk procedure and changed it from Solaris to Solaris2, but it still failed with the same fdisk error.
When I ran the install (after changing to Solaris2) the step to choose a partition still showed Solaris as the choice. After the installed failed again, i re-ran the format and fdisk still shows the type of Solaris2. hmmm.? thx. This message posted from opensolaris.org
