I set up MythTV on a lark a few months ago, mostly because I wanted to play with pausing live TV. I was soon totally addicted. It's completely changed how I watch TV; I hardly ever watch anything "live" anymore, I just let the scheduler record what I want so I can watch it at my leisure. It's great. I fear that a lot of pain is coming my way with the looming digital conversion, though. It's mandatory for broadcast in 2009 and some cable companies are converting sooner.
