After running an Open Space, one participant came at the end and thanked me, they said that they were an introvert and really appreciated the principle "Whenever it starts is the right time", so I asked why... and they said that for them it meant that they could listen or talk whenever it felt right for them without any pressure... I stayed with me because I had never thought of the principle in that way.
I am sure there are all kinds of people who don't like Open Space as a method for a whole range of reasons, sitting in a huge circle totally vulnerable, having to walk to the middle exposed, having to take responsibility for where to go and what to do, etc... maybe some introverts don't like it, I noticed some power-control types also don't like it, and also some order-organising types, etc... THANK GoD for diversity!!!
