This seems quite interesting. It should get rid of a great deal of clutter and substantially reduce the size of the map files I'd have on my cell phone. Googling around, I found a discussion on this approach here: Find road only maps for download <https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/53725/find-road-only-maps-for-download> What I get from the discussion is that I can start with a standard downloaded map (e.g., from GEOFABRIK <https://www.geofabrik.de/data/download.html>), then filter it to keep only highways, as follows: osmfilter my-data.osm --keep=highway=* -o=my-data-highway.osm I can then (in theory) use OsmAndMapCreator to try out different color schemes, using UniRS and a dependent render file. At some point, I can move the data and render files to my cell phone. Problem is, I'm not at all clear on how to do all this. So, I still need a bit of help... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
