Actually they were in international waters, but Israel has declared Gaza a combat zone, which means they can send military ships out further and intercept who the fuck they like; everyone has been warned. Reports from people on that boat say that they were followed by the Israelis for 30 minutes before being rammed. They chose to defy all the warnings, which says to me that they were relying on the Israeli military forces being lenient and humane. Which as we see from the result, they were. Nobody died. Then they want to use the stunt to make the Israelis look like bad guys. There are plenty of bad guys to go round. But this stunt achieves nothing except exemplify how fundie factions play the human rights card to suck in soft Western sympathy. Meanwhile they vow to send their children to be martyrs and vow to never give up fighting. There comes a point where you see they are choosing this path. And they are entitled to choose it. But they'll get no sympathy from me. [1] Stefano [1] Well actually, they did with a few candles and trying to imagine what it would be like to be locked in a struggle my whole life, surrounded by fundie culture. _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
