Actually, a friend of mine's wife is an anti-Gambling campaigner who produced a report with Tim Costello. According to the report, for every $1 million spent to jobs created in various industries, the Food industry produced 20 jobs, the Gift industry produced 10 jobs, but the Gambling industry produced only 2 jobs. They actually had a campaign at the time of the handout to attempt to get people to not blow their money on the pokies.
